Silbury Hill – Wiltshire, England

Silbury Hill – Wiltshire, England
Rising from the English countryside like an earthen pyramid, Silbury Hill has baffled archaeologists for centuries. đŸ”ī¸

Built around 2400 BC, this colossal mound near Avebury stands 130 feet tall and is made of more than half a million tons of chalk and clay. It’s the largest man-made prehistoric mound in Europe — yet no tomb, treasure, or artifact has ever been found inside.

Despite decades of excavation, no one knows why it was built or what it meant to the people who shaped it.

A monument to something long forgotten, it remains one of Britain’s oldest and greatest mysteries.
