The Dead Sea is a unique salt lake

The Dead Sea is a unique salt lake situated between Israel and Jordan, known for being about nine times saltier than any other sea or ocean in the world. Because of its extreme salinity, no marine life can survive in its waters, which is why it is called the “Dead Sea.” Stretching approximately 80 kilometers in length and varying in width from 7 to 20 kilometers, it holds another fascinating feature—its high salt concentration makes sinking nearly impossible. The dense saltwater provides natural buoyancy, allowing people to effortlessly float on their backs without any effort.
