Xi’an – Shaanxi Province, China

Over 2,200 years ago, Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, built an army unlike any other — not to conquer lands, but to guard him in the afterlife. ⚔️ Buried beneath the earth in Xi’an, the Terracotta Army is one of history’s greatest archaeological discoveries. So far, archaeologists have uncovered around 8,000 life-sized soldiers, 130 chariots, 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses — each with unique facial features and details, no two alike. Yet the site is far from fully explored. Vast sections of the complex remain untouched, and experts believe countless more figures — and perhaps even Qin Shi Huang’s unsealed tomb — still lie beneath the soil. Over two millennia later, his army still stands ready — silent, disciplined, and waiting for their emperor’s call. #TerracottaArmy #QinShiHuang #AncientChina #Archaeology #WorldHeritage #AncientHistory #ChineseHistory #ArchaeologicalDiscoveries #AncientWorld
