Statue of Liberty – New York, USA. A lesser-known fact about the Statue of Liberty is that she wasn’t originally green! When the statue was unveiled in 1886, it was a shiny reddish-brown color due to its copper exterior. Over the next 20 years, the copper reacted with air and moisture, forming a green patina.
